U.S. Botanic Garden invites you to their event

Flowers and Their Meanings (Online Lecture)

About this event

Uncover the secret meanings behind your bouquets and floral arrangements. In the 19th century, coded bouquets were exchanged by lovers and friends. A simple clutch of flowers could begin a clandestine love affair or declare an emotional war. Ranunculus, for example, boldly states, ""I am dazzled by your charms,"" while marigold represents despair. Join Karen online to learn the fascinating history of the Victorian language of flowers.

Intended Audience: All-Levels. Suitable for all learners, this program will provide a variety of content. Program providers will answer both introductory and more advanced questions.
