This webinar will host Archdiocese of Washington staffers Kately Javier (Faith Formation) and Jonathan Lewis (Evangelization & Pastoral Concerns), as well as Center Director Fr. Frank Donio, S.A.C., for a conversation about the role of catechesis in the broader process of evangelization. Kately, Jonathan, and Fr. Frank will discuss the implications of the Directory's emphasis on the relationship of evangelization and catechesis, as well as its effects on the future of catechesis in the United States.
This webinar is the first in our series that will consider the major themes from the new Directory for Catechesis published by the Pontifical Council for the Promotion of the New Evangelization in July. Upcoming topics for our series include accompaniment, the new tasks of adult catechesis, and catechesis as a laboratory of dialogue.
