About this event
The global utility-scale PV market is experiencing significant changes, due to the constant drive to lower the Levelized Cost of Electricity (LCOE) as grid parity opens the sector to replace fossil fuel-based electricity generation. The rapid upstream transition to large-area wafers (166mm, 180mm and 210mm) means modules with significantly larger dimensions providing peak-power in the range of 600Wp and above. Integrating such modules with very high output requires greater focus on system integration and product selection, involving inverters and single-axis trackers to further lower balance-of-system (BOS) costs and reduce LCOE metrics.
In this PV Tech TechTalk webinar, major ‘Solar Module Super League’ supplier Trina Solar is teaming up with experts from leading inverter manufacturer Sungrow and independent energy advisory and certification body DNV GL, to provide a technically driven session to explain in detail how inverter and tracker design is adapting to integrate higher currents to reduce the number of strings required and, in so doing, to allow ongoing CAPEX and LCOE reductions.
