About this event
The world seems to have been turned upside down. Like a wave, the SARS-CoV 2 pandemic has been sweeping over the globe and affected farmers, feed and food producers practically everywhere. A lot has been talked, written and said about how to fortify businesses against the effects of the crisis. But what will really work out in the end once we can truly and universally say “it is over”?
It is the solution that has been known and been right before, though not generally acknowledged yet, let alone accepted: Sustainability.
In this webinar series, you will be able to explore the role of sustainability and welfare for feed and food production. Meet experts in live talks about what sustainable production and management means, how to benefit from your investments in sustainability and which crucial part feed and feed additives play in terms of achieving the sustainability goals.
This webinar will comprise three live sessions; each of which dealing with sustainabilty and welfare from a different perspective. Enjoy the presentations and meet our experts in live chat afterwards.
Session 1
Your path to future success lies in sustainable production and development. Yet to ensure that the investments you undertake will indeed pay off, you will have to get the word out to the right people at the right time. This webinar will show how to identify important stakeholders and successfully communicate with them.
For this session, we welcome Dr Darya Hirsch from the International Center for Sustainable Development (IZNE) as expert speaker on environmental economics and sustainability in the agri-food sector. Dr Hirsch will elaborate on the challenge of finding and adressing the right people when it comes to sustainability innovations. As an introduction to this, Dr Michael Wilhelm, Head of Innovation & Products at Dr. Eckel, will shed a light on the role of the feed industry to sustainable production and adress the major problem of feed and food losses.
