In this session, presented by Benjamin Holsinger – Associate and Global Resilience Leader at Gensler – learn how an idea to help manufacturers decipher the many aspects of sustainability turned into a global study around sustainable material specifications. Benjamin will discuss recommended criteria and processes to consider when establishing specifications standards around sustainable materials. Grounded in the realities of the industry, considerations for companies of all scales, and focused on reducing the negative impacts the architecture and design industry has on the world.
About Benjamin Holsinger
As Global Design Resilience Leader of Gensler’s Product Development practice, Benjamin provides guidance on sustainable qualities for our design teams and partner manufacturers – with a focus on reducing products’ impact on the environment and humans. He provides clients with strategic advice on how to position their brand to bring resilience to the forefront of their conversations, product development, and front-facing image.
Benjamin also works as a senior sustainability strategist, consulting with both project teams and clients to help them meet their sustainability goals – whether on a project or as a corporate strategy. He has extensive experience with sustainable certification rating systems across all sectors and project typologies as well as project scales and multi-disciplinary approaches with clients, consultants, and industry partners.
