    LCL Tomasz Szulc Officer of the polish Army @ Military University of Land Forces

    doctor of humanities, officer of the Polish Army in the rank of lieutenant colonel serving as anassistant professor at the General Tadeusz Kościuszko Military University of Land Forces in Wroclaw. A graduate of the Military Academy of Land Forces and the Wroclaw University of Science and Technology. In 2020, he completed postgraduate studies at the Land Forces Academy majoring in crisis management. In 2020, he obtained a PhD in humanities from the Jan Dlugosz University in Czestochowa. In the years 2010-2017 he held the position service in the Mountain Infantry Battalion in the positions of: platoon commander, deputy company commander and company commander. From 2017, lecturer and then assistant profesor at the Department Mechanized and Armored Forces of the Land Forces Academy in Wroclaw. Author of publications on military history, contemporary history, crisis management and national security.

    LCL Mathieu Lafond Director of Studies, Foresight, and Training "Mountain and Cold Weather" @ High Mountain Military School | EMHM

    Enlisted in 2005, he is an officer in the engineer corps and currently Director of Studies, Forecasting and Training at the french high mountain military school. He served for 8 years with the Second Engineer Regiment of the foreign legion, part of the 27th Mountain Infantry Brigade, as a platoon leader and unit commander. He was deployed, notably to Afghanistan, the Republic of Central Africa and Mali. He then served as a tactical officer at the engineering school. After graduating from the War College, he was appointed Special Assistant of SACT in 2020. Since the summer of 2023, he has been posted in Chamonix at the high mountain military school, where he is in charge of studies on mountain and extreme-cold warfare.

    COL Italo Spini NATO Mountain Warfare COE Deputy DIRR and Chief of Staff @ NATO Mountain Warfare Centre of Excellence

    Enlisted in 1991, Col. Italo Giacomo SPINI has been a member of the Italian Alpine troops since 1996. He holds two degrees in Political and Strategic Sciences and has completed two Master's degrees in Security and International Strategies. Throughout his distinguished military career, he has participated in seven overseas missions in Bosnia, Kosovo, Lebanon, Somalia, and Afghanistan. He has held command positions at the platoon, company, battalion, and regiment levels within the Alpine troops, both in peacetime and during operations. His extensive experience also includes service at the Italian Army General Staff in Rome and over five years working with international organizations such as the EU, UN, and NATO. Currently, Italo serves as the Deputy Director and Chief of Staff at the NATO Mountain Warfare Centre of Excellence. Hope that is fine for you.

    COL Gaëtan Dubois Commander of the High Mountain Military School @ High Mountain Military School | EMHM

    Colonel Gaëtan Dubois, a graduate of the Saint-Cyr Military School, is the current commander of the High Mountain Military School. He served in the 4th Hunter Regiment, deploying to Africa and Afghanistan. His career includes roles at the Infantry School, US Special Operations Command, and the Army staff, focusing on special forces, robotics, and drones. He also led operations during NATO's Cold Response in Norway. Since June 2024, he leads the High Mountain Military School, specializing in mountain and extreme cold operations.
