About this event

In distinct but related ways, Europe’s PV and battery manufacturing industries stand at a critical point. Both are seen as crucial to Europe’s decarbonisation targets and energy independence but both face uncertain futures in the face of intense competition from China. This has already pushed European PV manufacturers to the edge and is putting the squeeze on Europe’s nascent domestic battery supply chain. In this panel discussion, co-hosted by PV Tech and Energy-Storage.news, we debate the future of Europe's clean energy manufacturing industry. Does Europe need its own PV and battery supply chain to hit net zero targets and underpin future energy security? How can European producers thrive against the manufacturing heft of China? These and other questions will be debated in a lively discussion hosted by our editors.
