Cap Digital invites you to their event

The Most Sustainable and Innovative Residential Project in Prague

About this event

Discover how the CIRC-BOOST project is reshaping construction through its flagship demonstration — Czech pilot at Modřanský Cukrovar in Prague. Recognized as the most sustainable and innovative residential development in the city, the project highlights how circular materials and innovation can drive meaningful change in urban redevelopment.

Join experts from Skanska, academia, and industry as they discuss both investor and technical perspectives on implementing recycled concrete solutions at scale. The session will address key challenges such as development, certification, legal barriers, and new approaches in usage of recycled aggregate in concrete. With insights into material innovation, policy implications, and hands-on experience from the site, the webinar offers a unique opportunity to explore the future of circular construction.

Why join this webinar?

  • Gain exclusive insights from Skanska and leading experts on how recycled concrete is transforming real-world construction projects.
  • Discover first-hand lessons from Czech Pilot, Prague’s most sustainable residential development, and understand how circular solutions are applied at scale.
  • Learn about cutting-edge innovations and policy trends shaping the future of circular construction across Europe.

Biographies of speakers

Albert De La Fuente Antequera

PhD Civil Engineer and Full Professor at the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department of Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC)

Founder and leader of the C3S Research Group with research focused on Fiber Reinforced Concrete Technology, 3D Printed Structures, Sustainability Assessment of Infrastructures, and Circularity in Construction. He has co-authored +150 JCR-indexed papers and supervised +20 PhD theses. As the Principal Investigator for +15 research projects since 2016, he collaborates with international construction industry leaders, contributing actively to various committees and playing key roles in ACHE and fib Commissions. Albert serves as coordinator of the Circ-Boost Project since June 2023.

Petr Dušta

Senior Project Manager, Skanska Residential

Petr Dušta began his career at Skanska after graduating from the Czech Technical University in Prague and now serves as Senior Project Manager at Skanska Residential, focusing on sustainable housing development.

His projects feature low-energy solutions, renewable energy, and blue-green infrastructure. Highlights include Prague’s Botanica district—first in the Czech Republic to receive BREEAM Excellent certification—and the Čertův vršek project, which pioneered low-emission Rebetong concrete made from construction rubble.

Currently managing the Modřanský Cukrovar and Michelské pekárny developments, Petr continues to advance innovation and sustainability. Outside work, he enjoys family time, mountain sports, and gardening.

Richard Dvořák

Civil engineer specializing in materials and digital innovation.

As coordinator for Circ-Boost Pilot 5 at the Modřanský cukrovar project in Prague, he ensures effective communication between the project’s leadership and Skanska’s on-site team, aligning operations with Horizon Europe’s circular goals.

His expertise includes diagnostics, machine learning, and 3D printing. At Brno University of Technology, he contributed to research on non-destructive testing and material characterization, translating academic knowledge into practice. His coordination supports successful implementation and reporting, making Pilot 5 a model of circular urban redevelopment.

Martyna Rabenda

Coordinator in Skanska Central Europe’s Research and Innovation team

She is supporting Innovation and Automation projects across three countries and encouraging collaboration with various partners.

In 2024, she joined the Circ-Boost project, where she leads promotion and dissemination for Pilot 5. Martyna is also affiliated with Lodz University of Technology, where she teaches and researches mechanical engineering and non-destructive testing. She is a strong advocate for closer collaboration between academia and industry to unlock shared value.

Bohuslav Slánský

Head of Research and Innovation at Skanska Central Europe.

He leads the adoption of sustainable and advanced technologies in construction. As a representative in the Circ-Boost project, he helps integrate circular economy principles into practice.

At the Modřanský cukrovar project (Pilot 5), he supports the use of circular, low-carbon materials like Rebetong and RebetoNG, developed under Skanska’s innovation platform. He ensures sustainability goals are achieved without compromising quality, showing how construction waste can be reused as valuable resources.

With a background in civil engineering and material science, Bohuslav bridges research, development, and implementation, advancing Skanska’s commitment to responsible, circular construction.

Julia Morawski

European Project Manager at Cap Digital, where she focuses on European innovation initiatives.

She holds a Master’s in Euroculture from Uppsala and Göttingen Universities, with experience in cultural policy and international collaboration. In CIRC-BOOST, she leads engagement activities under WP2 – CONNECT, which aims to accelerate the transition to circular practices in construction by mapping key networks, fostering collaboration, and sharing knowledge through webinars, co-created events, and policy briefs.
