Alisha Sarabjeeth is the Portfolio Manager for Information Security & Strategic Infrastructure at the Mr Price Group, one of South Africa’s fastest growing retailers. She was appointed to build a new team and prepare a cybersecurity strategy for the Group. During her talk, Alisha will guide you through her process of cyber security strategy development and road mapping, the importance of keeping them connected and the risk of getting them strangled up. There needs to be continuous alignment between IT and Board, Operations and security strategy with Business Units and IT.

The talk will evaluate the benefits as well as the risks of using maturity models and frameworks and how to apply a hybrid and integrated approach to avoid lack of visibility in your actual security posture and a false sense of security. Alisha will explain via The House Analogy the importance of a layered Defense strategy, priority setting to achieve quick wins and address burning issues, visualizing your strategy and roadmap, and much more on common pitfalls, challenges and best practices based on her experiences.
