Cathodoluminescence (CL) as an analysis technique has been developing rapidly over the past few years and is now applied in multiple fields ranging from geosciences to nanophotonics. CL has proven to be a powerful method for characterization of optical properties, quality control and efficiency improvements, studying crystal growth and zonation and more.
