About the speaker

Olivier Lopez,Ph.D. is Scientific Director at Detralytics, as well as a Professor in Actuarial Science at Sorbonne Université, Paris. Since 2016, he is the director of ISUP (Institut de Statistique de l’Université de Paris), which is Sorbonne’s actuarial department. He is a fully qualified member of the French institute of actuaries (Institut des Actuaires), and member of its scientific committee. He is member of the Education Committee of the European Actuarial Association and of the International Actuarial Association. His main research fields include survival analysis, applications of machine learning to insurance, cyber insurance. A full list of publications is available HERE.
