Prof. Dr. med. Axel Hillmann, Leiter Abteilung für Sarkome und Muskuloskelettale Tumoren, Klinik für Unfallchirurgie, Orthopädie und Sportmedizin, Krankenhaus Barmherzige Brüder Regensburg.

Prof. Hillmann ist Leiter der Abteilung für Sarkome und Muskuloskelettale Tumoren in der Klinik für Unfallchirurgie, Orthopädie und Sportmedizin am Krankenhaus Barmherzige Brüder in Regensburg.

Er begann 1985 seine berufliche Laufbahn am Universitätsklinikum in Münster. 2001 wurde er Direktor der Orthopädischen Klinik in Ingolstadt. Ab 2017 war er zwei Jahre Leiter des Zentrums für Tumor-Orthopädie am Orthopädischen Lehrstuhl der Universität Regensburg in Bad Abbach. Seit 2019 leitet er im Krankenhaus der Barmherzigen Brüder Regensburg das Sarkomzentrum, das über die Deutsche Krebsgesellschaft bereits 2020 als Zentrum für Knochen- und Weichgewebssarkome zertifiziert wurde.

Integriert in das Onkologische Zentrum betreut Prof. Hillmann betroffene Patienten im Erwachsenen- und Kindesalter.

Seine Behandlungsschwerpunkte umfassen: Knochen-, Knorpel- und Weichteilsarkome, Knochenmetastasen, gutartige Weichteilgewebstumore, biologische Rekonstruktionsverfahren und Umdrehplastik.

2017 erfolgte die Zertifizierung des ersten Deutschen Orthopädischen Tumorzentrums (DGOOC).

Prof. Dr. Hillmann ist 1. Vorsitzender der Sektion für Muskuloskelettale Tumoren der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Orthopädie und Orthopädische Chirurgie DGOOC.

Er hat gemeinsam mit der Sektion das Weißbuch der DGOOC für die Behandlung von Tumoren der Knochen und Bindegewebe verfasst. Als ehemaliges Vorstandsmitglied der Arbeitsgemeinschaft Knochentumoren e. V. und Mitarbeiter mehrerer Leitlinienkonferenzen gestaltet er die Weiterentwicklung operativer und therapeutischer Standards in der Tumororthopädie mit.

Prof. Hillmann ist Honorary Director of Bone Tumor Research des Zhengzhou Orthopaedics Hospital, Zhengzhou, China, sowie Visiting Professor der Universitäten Xi’an und Langzhou, China.

Prof. Dr. med. Burkhard Lehner, Leiter Sektion Orthopädische Onkologie und Septische Orthopädische Chirurgie, Universitätsklinikum Heidelberg.

Titel: CERAMENT®-Einsatz im Infektfall

Prof. Dr. Burkhard Lehner ist Leiter der Abteilung für orthopädische Onkologie und septische Chirurgie an der Universitätsklinik Heidelberg mit einem speziellen Interesse an Gelenk- und periprothetischen Infektionen und der biologischen Rekonstruktion von Knochendefekten nach Tumorresektion. In der Abteilung werden neue Behandlungsmöglichkeiten von Knochentumoren, für periprothetische Infektionen sowie Knocheninfektionen durchgeführt. Mit über 100 von Experten begutachteten Veröffentlichungen auf dem Gebiet der orthopädischen Infektionen und der Onkolgie, ist Prof. Dr. Lehner 2. Vorsitzender der Abteilung für muskuloskelettale Tumoren der Deutsche Gesellschaft für Orthopädie und Orthopädische Chirurgie DGOOC. Außerdem ist er Mitglied der European Bone and Joint Infection Society. Die Abteilung ist eines der führenden Zentren für die Behandlung von Tumoren des Bewegungsapparates in Deutschland.
