R.C. Sharma, superannuated from Delhi Fire Service as its Director on 30th November 2010, after about 39 yrs. of active service in various fire service Organizations in the country. This included total of over 15 Years of Industrial Fire Services Experience (in PSUs) starting in Feb-1973 in Bokaro Steel Plant, then with Delhi Electric Supply Undertaking Delhi, Indian Oil Corporation R&D center Faridabad & then with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, Bangalore. He joined DFS in May 1988, as Dy. Chief Fire Officer Through UPSC selection, got promoted to the rank of CFO in 2002 and as First Director of DFS in 2009. Also served as D.I.G. (Fire) in C.I.S.F. on deputation for a period of about 03 years (1998 to 2001). Presently working with GGS IPU as Professor of Practice since November 2023.
