The speaker
Sandrine De Backer is an evolution and certification manager and has been working for 20 years on EGNOS.
Since 2015, Sandrine is working in the EGNOS department of the European Union Agency for Space Programme (EUSPA). She manages the preparation of the next generation of EGNOS and the next phase of the EGNOS service provision, this in coordination with the certification and accreditation activities.
Previously she has been working at the EGNOS Service Provider (ESSP), and was responsible of the ESSP certificate and the acceptance of safe system changes in front of the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).
And before, Sandrine was the EGNOS Safety and Certification expert in ESA EGNOS project Office integrated team as European civil aviation representative and was following the EGNOS system development safety concerns.
