Better Boards invites you to their event

Cultural Intelligence (CQ) Webinar for Not-for-Profits

About this event

Better Boards is pleased to present "Cultural Intelligence (CQ) Webinar for Not-for-Profits" in partnership with Wenda Gumulya, Board Chair at Hoshizora Foundation.

If your not-for-profit organisation serves a diverse community, has stakeholders (staff, volunteers, donors) who come from a culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) background, or operate in multiple different locations, then cultural intelligence has a direct effect on the success of your programs and services.

This Cultural Intelligence (CQ) webinar will help participants gain knowledge on the four components of CQ:

  • drive (motivation),
  • knowledge (cognition),
  • strategy, and
  • action.

It is designed to help participants understand how culture impacts behaviour and how they can adapt their actions to realise better communication and collaboration with stakeholders (beneficiaries, volunteers, donors, and partners) to achieve more impact.

The webinar will also include a short workshop where participants will get access to practical CQ tools and learn about mini case studies. Attention will be given to the iterative steps not-for-profit organisations can take in enhancing their CQ awareness, knowledge, and skills - as well as the appropriate application of the tools in the not-for-profit context.
