The Construction Industry Council (CIC) has been promoting construction practices which can make construction faster, safer and greener. The use of system formwork could lead to considerable productivity gains and improvements in site safety. In view of this, the CIC is organising a webinar on "Advancement in System Formwork in Construction" to drive wider adoption of system formwork in the construction industry.
We are delighted to have two local leading experts in the field, Mr Bono KWAN from OTRON Formwork (HK) Limited and Mr Joseph WANG from the Hong Kong Formwork Contractors Association, as our speaker. They will share their knowledge and insights in the application of advanced system formwork in construction.
In the webinar, Mr Jeff FUNG from the Hong Kong Productivity Council will also introduce a new concrete skip device, which aims to improve the efficiency of concreting and workers' health and safety.

ABOUT SPEAKERS
Mr Jeff FUNG
Mr Jeff Fung received his BSc and MSc in Industrial Engineering and Engineering management in the University in Hong Kong and City University. He’s now working in the Hong Kong Productivity Council over 15 years. He focus in consultancy projects of process excellence, customized and logistic automation design and turnkey project implementation. He is skillful to perform gap analysis, process re-engineering and implementation of hardware and software integrated systems. He also focuses on operation research in solving business operation problem like factory management and decision-making.
Mr Bono KWAN
Mr Bono KWAN received his BSc in Construction Management from the University of Westminster. He was the founder of Westminster Construction Society and Champion of HKGBC Mini LegCo & Youth Forum. He worked as a project coordinator in a local façade company and worked in a formwork factory in mainland China. In 2018, he exhibited innovative formwork product in overseas construction exhibition show (U.S., Indonesia, Australia and Taiwan). In 2019, he co-founded OTRON Formwork (HK) Ltd.
Mr Joseph WANG
Mr Joseph Wang, Chairman of the Hong Kong Formwork Contractors Association, has over 42 years of experience in the formwork construction industry, having entered the construction industry as a formwork construction apprentice in 1978. Mr Wang is the managing director of Ming Tai Construction Engineering Co Ltd. currently, he continues pursuing the better solutions for formwork industry, therefore, he keeps inventing. Now, Mr Wang owned around 20 patents, which related to the advanced system formwork in Hong Kong, aimed for boosting productivity, uplifting quality, improving site safety and enhancing environmental performance.
