The Wild Future of Our Food (Online Lecture)

About this event

Over human history, we’ve changed the plants we eat – domesticating food plants to suit our purposes. Today’s food systems face enormous challenges, including food insecurity, environmental change, and natural resource depletion, leaving producers and consumers asking “What is the future of our food?”. Join Dr. Colin Khoury to hear how an important part of the answer to this question may be found not on farms, but rather in wild places. He’ll discuss how by understanding, conserving, and making more use of the wild relatives of our crops, we can develop healthier and more sustainable agricultural systems.

Intended Audience: Intermediate: Suitable for sprouted and full bloom learners, this program dives deeper into the topic. Please note: this program does not contain introductory information.
