About this event
Join Dr Karien Brink from Ultra Pet and Prof. Danièlle Gunn-Moore for the second of a two-part webinar on 15 March 2022.
This 1-hour free webinar will be case-based, where we look at Sally, a 16 year old neutered female cat who presents because she has ‘aged’ significantly in the last 2 years, has stopped grooming, developed periuria, and is crying loudly at night. We will consider the many differential diagnoses for these behavioural changes in elderly cats, remembering that older animals usually have multiple interacting conditions. Before going through her investigation, ultimate diagnoses and management, we will take time to think about arthritis in cats. We will consider how this very common condition presents in this species, and how different it is compared to dogs. We will then consider the many aspects needed to successfully manage this condition in cats, covering everything from drugs to environmental modification.
