Robotic-Based Plant Inspection
Today, it's simpler than ever before to gather and combine plant data to drive efficiencies of operation and maintenance and support collaboration across domains. Data platforms are increasingly used. And robots augment stationary sensor systems and manual inspections during data acquisition.
In this session, we will explain how these elements come together by giving an overview of an implemented showcase. The proven approach will be implemented at an energy plant.
A legged robot, Anymal from Anybotics, gathers thermal camera data. On Microsoft Azure, data is processed, CV algorithms are executed, and data is ingested into Cognite’s Data Fusion platform. In CDF, data is contextualized with other plant data from PLCs and weather stations.
Experts can now easily explore data, validate simulations with conducted test-runs in the field and perform inspection runs remotely.
