Journey with Kathryn as she explores the underground world…of plants! In this online lecture, Kathryn will showcase the fascinating and sometimes creepy plant activities that take place underground during the fall and winter months.

    Kathryn Parker is a gardener with the U.S. Botanic Garden’s Horticulture Exhibits and Displays team. She has experience caring for historic landscapes, teaching botanic science classes to children visiting the Garden on school field trips, and caring for tropical and perennial plants, previously helping run a nursery greenhouse department. Additionally, she spent many years educating about native plants and seed saving techniques, specializing in plants suited to growing in Mediterranean and Desert climates.
