About this event
We have focused our conference this year on giving delegates focused presentations to help them to understand how to improve the efficiency of their planned and existing networks through a range of expert presentations from UKDEA Members. BEIS will also be providing an update on their policy and support for heat networks, together with an overview of their Heat Network Efficiency Scheme, which is a Government support mechanism in line with our conference theme.

Simon is an independent consultant with 30-years experience developing district energy schemes. He is currently involved with developing 10 schemes across the UK and works part-time as the UKDEA Chairman. Until 2014 he was the CEO of the UK’s largest district energy company Cofely District Energy.
John is Project Director for Heat Networks in BEIS, joining in 2014. His responsibilities include the Heat Networks Delivery Unit, The Heat Networks Investment Project, the latest support announced as the Green Heat Networks Fund and establishing a market framework for heat networks in the 2020s.
The UK District Energy Association’s aim is to represent current and potential owners, developers, consumers, partners, operators, product suppliers, and interested parties involved with the District Energy sector throughout the UK.
