The software elec calc™ for the calculation and sizing of electrical networks and the software Bentley Raceway and Cable Management for the design of raceway systems and 3D cable routing are now interconnected. This interconnection enables not only the design of cable tray models, but also the calculation and sizing of cables and networks. All this is seamlessly integrated in a workflow in order to guarantee the compliance with all technical and normative requirements (e.g. according to IEC or VDE standards), involving for that matter the accurate cable lengths computed in Bentley Raceway and Cable Management.

Agenda:

• Creation of circuits and power distributions in elec calc™
• Export of cable lists from elec calc™ and import into Bentley Raceway and Cable Management
• Cable routing and cable length calculation in Bentley Raceway and Cable Management
• Export of cable lists from Bentley Raceway and Cable Management and reimport into elec calc™
• Calculation and sizing of the electrical installation in elec calc™ according to the standards and based on accurate cable lengths
