The Madison Group invites you to their event

Fatigue Failure of Plastics

About this event

This webinar is part of The Madison Group's #TMGPLASTICEDU series of events.

Fatigue is the weakening of a material caused by repeatedly applied loads. It is the progressive and localized structural damage that occurs when a material is subjected to cyclic loading. The exposure of plastic materials to dynamic stress can produce several different responses and will certainly alter the mechanical properties of the material. Fatigue is a very important failure mechanism for plastic components, and a clear understanding of its implications is essential. This webinar will cover topics such as, fatigue behavior and failure mechanism in plastics, factors in fatigue performance, as well as fatigue testing.

At the conclusion of this webinar, you will understand:

  • How fatigue loading produces cracking within plastic components.
  • The different testing methods that can be used to evaluate fatigue performance.
  • The component and environmental factors that affect functionality under fatigue loading.
