About this event
In January 2021, any company placing an article on the European market with a SVHC at more than 0.1% m/m will have to declare it on the new SCIP platform of the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA).
Manufacturers, importers and even distributors will be affected. In 2020, each actor in the supply chain will have to set up a traceability process for SVHCs and make material declarations.
Despite a deployment of its declaration tools in 2020, ECHA intends to maintain its deadline of January 2021 for the first declarations, thus offering a new challenge to manufacturers to comply in a short amount of time.
