About this event
More than 10% of the population worldwide suffers from chronic kidney disease, amounting to more than 800 million individuals. Electron microscopy (EM) offers the resolution required for scrutinizing the physiological changes in the glomerular basement membrane that occur in chronic disease patients and is the gold standard for kidney disease diagnosis. Recently, volume EM techniques have enabled scientists to obtain novel insights into chronic kidney disease.
In this webinar, which is the second part of our webinar series on this subject, Prof. Rachel Lennon (University of Manchester) will present the visualization of kidney basement membranes in high resolution, followed by Dr. Jeffrey Hodgin (University of Michigan) will present digital pathology and computational image analysis in nephropathology. During the webinar, you can engage with our speakers through our Q&A chat and share your ideas.
