About this event

Mental Heath Matters with Soccer Resilience

Coaches, players, parents, volunteers, and all soccer enthusiasts - pull up a chair!

In this exclusive webinar hosted by the GOALS Council, our panelists, including Diego Bocanegra and Jen Davis, will be joined by special guests from Soccer Resilience: Dr. Brad Miller, a seasoned clinical psychologist with over 20 years of experience, and Wells Thompson, an MLS Cup champion. Together, they bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to explore the intricate relationship between mental health and sports performance.

As youth sports enthusiasts, coaches, parents, and players, it's imperative to recognize that success on the field goes beyond physical prowess. Mental resilience, emotional well-being, and psychological strength are equally crucial components of athletic achievement and personal development.

Throughout the webinar, we'll delve into relatable stories and actionable strategies to prioritize mental health in youth sports, discussing how coaches, parents, and athletes can cultivate a supportive and nurturing environment that fosters resilience and well-being. From tackling performance anxiety to managing stress and building confidence, we'll equip attendees with practical insights and tools to navigate the challenges of competitive sports while promoting holistic development.

Even if you can't attend the live session, we encourage you to register to receive a recording of the webinar afterward. Don't miss this invaluable opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the significance of mental health in the youth sports landscape and discover actionable solutions to empower young athletes to thrive both on and off the field.
