Select:ed invites you to their event

Finding the right-fit school for your child with SEND

About this event

Finding the right-fit school for your child with SEND

A sensitive and uplifting presentation that will help you, as a parent of a child with additional needs, navigate the complexity of schools. You will discover the different models of education available, how to access support within a mainstream school, and considerations for changing schools.

Organised in partnership with AFIS – the Association for Families of Independent Schooling

Who is this for?

Parents with school-age children who have additional needs (either learning difficulties, neuro-developmental difficulties or social-emotional/mental health)

Why attend?

  • As a parent, you would like a 'sense check' on your child's education
  • You are weighing up whether to choose an independent school to get more tailored support for your child
  • There are alternative models of education available in your area – you would like to understand what is available and, potentially, how to access these
