Stacklet invites you to their event

Cloud Custodian 101 - Workshop

About this event

Cloud Custodian is an open source project that allows cloud and security engineering teams to unify dozens of tools and scripts for managing their public cloud accounts into one tool. Organizations use Cloud Custodian to ensure compliance to security policies, tag policies, garbage collection of unused resources, and cost management from a single tool.

Now a member of the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF), Cloud Custodian has been adopted by thousands of organizations today, including power users such as Intuit, Freddie Mac, FICO, Transamerica, Cox Automotive, Capital One, Microsoft, Reuters, Amazon, Procter & Gamble, etc. Cloud Custodian's community is vibrant, active, and rapidly growing.

Join us in this workshop to get hands-on experience on Cloud Custodian. In this workshop, you will:

  • Deploy Cloud Custodian in your sandbox environment
  • Write and execute your first set of policies
  • Review outputs and findings of policies
  • Enhance the policies to perform remediations.
  • Discuss alternative policies workflows

Pre- Requisites

  • A basic understanding of Cloud Custodian would be a plus.
  • A non-production "sandbox" AWS account with appropriate admin permissions. Cloud Custodian is a management tool and would require appropriate permissions with the account you use for the workshop.
