Northwest College is a 2-year residential community college located in the Northern Rocky Mountains, just 90 minutes from Yellowstone National Park. Northwest College is a place where the untamed spirit of the West and natural beauty allow students to explore a new sense of adventure while experiencing their first 2 years of American education.

Most of our students graduate from NWC with an associate’s degree. However, a small number of students come to NWC for one semester or one year – either to focus on improving their English language or to complete one year of general studies while applying to a 4-year institution. Northwest College has signed transfer agreements with over 30 universities across the U.S. and students have transferred to institutions in California, Texas, Hawai’i, New York, and Florida (just to name a few).

Here are some key points about NWC:

1. We do not require the TOEFL/IELTS or any English proficiency scores for students to apply to NWC.

2. Our annual tuition for the 2020-2021 year is $16,870. This includes tuition and fees (for 15 credits), guaranteed housing (double standard room) and 220 meals (around 15 meals a week).

3. We are an open enrollment campus and we accept applications year-round.

4. We have scholarships available for international students. Additionally, international students are allowed to work on campus and they are eligible to apply for Curricular Practical Training (CPT) their second year of study and for Optional Practical Training (OPT) once they graduate from NWC.

5. At NWC, we prioritize internationalization. We offer multiple opportunities for students to engage in leadership positions and partake in volunteer and community service within our campus and community.

6. We offer comprehensive international student services. We have an open-door policy and students are not required to have an appointment to seek help.
