Answer Engine Optimization (AEO): How the Sports Industry Prepares for Transacting Within an LLM

Platforms such as ChatGPT and features such as Google’s AI-synthesized search summaries are siphoning web traffic and reshaping the way hundreds of millions of people retrieve information. Bain & Company recently published research that organic web traffic had decreased 15%-25% due to reliance on AI-written results. As sports properties prepare for a future where fans transact through digital assistants and LLMs (Large Language Models), our panel dives into the implications, opportunities, and challenges of this transformation.

What we will discuss:

  • AEO vs. SEO
  • Opportunities in AI-Driven Ticketing & Merchandising
  • Digital Assistants & Agent Routing
  • Opportunities in AI-embedded streaming & commerce
  • Importance of reputation management in AI-generated responses

Who should attend:

  • Representatives from teams and leagues responsible for digital media and/or technology
  • Representatives from teams and leagues responsible for ticketing
  • Representatives from teams and leagues responsible for sponsorship sales and activation
  • Tech vendors offering services to help with AEO
  • Investors in sports technology
  • Anyone interested in learning more about how technology is changing the future of sports business
