In this session, presented by Vickie Rush, Associate and Senior Interior Designer at Stantec, learn how a multidisciplinary firm considers materials throughout the life of a project. The presentation will cover Stantec's various tools, baseline requirements, and how the firm is collecting data to measure success.

About Vickie Rush

Vickie brings more than 20 years of experience in commercial interior design. She has worked on a wide-range of project types and delivery models for various public and private sector clients across North America. Vickie has lead all phases of design, from programming and planning through construction documents and construction administration, as well as furniture specifications and documentation. Her creativity and innovation has been applied to new construction as well as renovations.

Her passion is understanding how the built environment can affect human health and wellness. As a Leader on Stantec's Healthy Material council, she has inspired and promoted the use of safer products on all of Stantec projects. Stantec's Healthy Materials Council comprises of subject matter experts that meet regularly to evaluate material specifications, design methodologies, and facilitate interior design materials-focused design competitions. Outside of Stantec, she serves on the HPDC technical committee as a subject matter expert on building product specifications. The committee is responsible for interpretation, revision and expansion of the construction industry standard for reporting ingredients and transparency.
