Brush Lettering Techniques Workshop with Alejandra Bustamante

Want to learn the BASICS OF BRUSH LETTERING, to be able to use your brush markers, basic cursive style, outlining, shadowing and blending techniques?

Designhill brings you an another workshop for you with Alejandra Bustamante. She is a self taught artist and started with brush lettering as a therapy and a way to relax and enjoy free time. Slowly it went from hobby to a business. She felt in love with art and studied more techniques and now she is also passionate about watercolor painting and also writing with watercolors. She has many face-to-face workshops and now due to the pandemic she is also teaching online courses. 

What are we going to learn in this workshop? 

In this mini workshop we are going to learn the basics of the Brush lettering technique. We are going to talk about materials and what you need to get started with this style of modern calligraphy. First we are going to start with some definitions as well as the correct postures and how to hold the pens to start with the basic strokes and exercises to improve your pulse and thus your letters. We are going a bit further and also learn to create letters and how to connect them to create words.

Participants can download a free starting guide which I will be using to teach during the class. They can print it many times and keep practicing their letters.
