CHASE invites you to their event

Boosting uptake, tackling inequalities: A case study for ICB vaccination & screening programmes

About this event

The "Fit for the Future" 10-Year Health Plan outlines a clear need to improve preventative health services, including childhood immunisations. With national uptake rates below WHO targets and recent measles outbreaks causing concern, ICBs are tasked with finding effective solutions that support both their patient populations and their overburdened GP practices.

This webinar offers insights from our direct experience addressing this challenge.

Join CHASE and our panel to discuss a successful, ongoing childhood immunisation programme delivered in partnership with a pioneering ICB. We will share our learnings and present a practical, end-to-end model that focuses on improving patient outcomes by removing barriers for both families and practice staff.

This 45-minute session will cover:

Addressing vaccine hesitancy: Learn how our specially trained team has the capacity to spend extended time (up to 30 minutes) with parents to discuss their concerns, provide trusted NHS information, and triage to a clinician where needed.

Supporting General Practice: We will detail a service model that is provided at no cost to GP practices and is designed to relieve their administrative workload. We will share why this approach led to 57 practices signing up within the first nine days of the programme's launch.

A bespoke delivery model: Examine how a flexible, non-prescriptive approach allows the service to integrate seamlessly with each practice's unique workflows, from patient searches to appointment booking.

Improving health equity: We'll discuss the use of technology, including AI-powered voice translation, to ensure meaningful and effective communication with families where English is not their first language.

The value case for ICBs: Understand the cost-effectiveness of a targeted call/recall programme and how small shifts in uptake (10-15%) can have a significant impact on herd immunity, public health, and achieving key performance indicators.

Wider applications: Consider how this proven remote recall framework can be adapted to support other key NHS priorities, such as cardiovascular health or weight management programmes.
