With nearly 25 years of first-hand experience, she has secured six- and seven-figure gifts and has raised millions of dollars for both capital and medical research campaigns.
Janell’s track record serving Kinetic clients speaks for itself: She routinely exceeds her clients’ expectations and breaks fundraising records. She is well-versed in capital campaign organization and execution; major gift identification; event planning; cultivation and solicitation strategies; annual fund development; planned gift acquisition; and strategic planning. She also has considerable experience in board development, strategic planning and staff management.
Prior to joining Kinetic, Janell served in development roles at Michigan State University and Western Michigan University. She was also the Director of Annual Giving at University of North Carolina-Wilmington. She holds a Bachelor in Elementary Education degree from Michigan State University and a Master of Public Administration and Certification of Nonprofit Leadership Administration from Western Michigan University.
Sarah has served as a major gift officer and leader of two national fundraising consulting firms. She has helped raise over $500 million for nonprofits during her 19-year career. She currently serves as the Executive Vice President of Insightful, powered by NewsBank, Inc. Insightful is a new software that provides donor insights to deepen relationships. Sarah holds a B.A. in Theatre and an M.A. in Philanthropy and Development from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota. She writes and speaks on the topic of Millennial Philanthropy at regional and national meetings and conferences. Sarah was named 40 under 40 by Gulfshore Business Magazine and serves on the Board of Trustees of Saint Mary's University of Minnesota and Catholic Charities, Diocese of Venice, FL. She is a native of Winona, Minnesota and currently lives in Naples, Florida with her husband and children.
