Structural Building Challenges in Multifamily and Affordable Housing

The market for multifamily and affordable housing is growing at a rapid rate, making it an increasingly important sector for architects, contractors and clients alike. This residential typology brings with it unique challenges, and there is a growing need for professionals with the technical knowledge to produce high quality, safe and durable homes for tenants. During this panel discussion, designers and product experts from AO and Inpro will discuss how, when designed correctly, key construction details such as expansion joint systems can help contribute to a successful project.

Using photographs and detail drawings from real-world case studies, the panelists will present solutions for large scale housing projects, addressing key considerations relating to budget, product specification and construction.

Learning Objectives

In this webinar, you'll learn:

  • Why expansion joint details cannot be ignored when designing large scale housing projects.
  • What to consider when specifying for expansion joints throughout a project.
  • How designers, product manufacturers and contractors can combine to achieve a long-lasting construction.
