Presents:

Mama Glow Webinar: Black Breastfeeding Week - Feeding Our Futures

Feeding Our Futures: A Panel on Breastfeeding in Black Communities is a virtual event during Black Breastfeeding Week, presented by, Momcozy, that highlights the importance of culturally grounded support, advocacy, and education around breastfeeding in Black communities. This panel creates a dedicated space to address the historical, social, and systemic barriers that have impacted Black breastfeeding rates, while celebrating the resilience and knowledge within these communities. By bringing together experts, parents, and advocates, the event fosters dialogue that centers Black voices and promotes health equity for Black mothers, infants, and families. Ultimately, Feeding Our Futures is not just about nourishment—it’s about reclaiming tradition, empowering families, and building a healthier future.

During this webinar we aim to:

  • Celebrate and center Black families' breastfeeding journeys during Breastfeeding Awareness Month.
  • Uplift diverse feeding methods (breast/chestfeeding, donor milk, pumping, and formula integration) through inclusive storytelling.
  • Explore cultural significance, structural barriers, and emotional resonance of breastfeeding in Black communities.
  • Equip attendees with practical tools and emotional resources.
  • Inspire community engagement and systems-level change.

We will also be sharing our “Build Your Feeding Village: Digital Support Toolkit” A co-branded support toolkit co-developed by Momcozy and Mama Glow. The toolkit offers holistic guidance to new parents navigating feeding—whether by breast, bottle, or both. It’s designed for distribution to parents, doulas, care workers, and healthcare providers - All part of Momcozy's Nourish the Journey Campaign.
