About this event
The rollout of cannabis legalization in Canada has been full of ups and downs. The craft cannabis industry in particular has been immensely affected by a myriad of challenges and missteps in the years following the Cannabis Act and Cannabis Regulations.
In The State of Craft, Sami Majadla, CEO of CertiCraft, facilitates conversations with leaders in the legal craft cannabis industry to explore what is going well and what is going not-so-well. We'll discuss what can realistically be changed at different levels of government and industry alike to address major issues the craft cannabis sector is facing, and hopefully inspire stimulating ideas of all sorts. Every episode will end with a 15 min live Q&A with our audience.
In Episode 5, Sami will be joined by David Hurford and Sohpie Mas.
The Canadian regulations are tough for craft cannabis producers, and like many things, it is way more difficult to do it alone. The BC Craft Farmers Co-op has been an important community for cannabis operators across BC. Creating space for collaboration, hosting networking events through COVID, and driving policy via advocacy are just a few of the ways that the Co-op has been supporting craft cannabis throughout the province. In Episode 5, our guests are two individuals who set the stage for everything that the Co-op has become. They are:

David helped establish the BC Craft Farmers Co-Op (BCCFC) as a founding member and currently serves as its secretary.
Sophie Mas:
