About this event

Sichuan pepper is a unique and complicated spice  - floral, citrusy, tingly, and more! Join Yao to learn about this fascinating spice, which comes from his hometown in Chongquing, China. You'll learn about the history and chemistry of Sichuan pepper and explore its innovative uses, including those beyond Chinese cuisine.

Intended Audience: All-Levels. Suitable for all learners, this program will provide a variety of content. Program providers will answer both introductory and more advanced questions.

    Yao Zhao founded 50Hertz Tingly Foods to share Sichuan pepper, from his hometown in Chongquing, China. Sichuan pepper is floral, citrusy, and tingly. Yao started his career in clean energy development & rural electrification and has a master’s degree from Johns Hopkins University.
