About this event
In this live Q&A session, we'll be taking and answering questions on all things BigQuery, and specifically around how to select the right pricing tiers for your workloads in the face of expiring annual flat-rate slot commitments (see below).
Send in your questions here, as we'll be prioritizing pre-submitted questions first.
Background on expiring flat-rate commitments
When BigQuery Editions were announced early last year, companies had until July 5th, 2023 to take a decision around either switching to Editions, staying on on-demand, or purchasing an annual flat-rate commitment to keep using flat-rate for a year.
Many chose to purchase 1-year flat-rate commitments in order to buy some themselves a year to rearchitect their BigQuery workloads. Others did so to defer the decision to later, prioritizing other more-urgent tasks instead.
Now with those flat-rate commitments expiring up until July, many companies are now faced with making a decision around whether to go with BigQuery Editions or on-demand pricing for their workloads.
