Ethics & Compliance Initiative (ECI) invites you to their event

Positioning E&C as a Strategic Leader in Times of Stress or Crisis

About this event

In October 2020, when the Coronavirus pandemic was arguably at its peak, the Ethics and Compliance Initiative (ECI) tasked a Working Group to explore how ethics and compliance (E&C) professionals could be strategic leaders in times of stress and crisis.

While the pandemic was one of the most significant stressors addressed, the group also considered other stressors in the workplace, including but not limited to: mergers and acquisitions; changes to product lines; regulatory or legal actions against a company; impact of penalties and monitoring; negative media coverage; and organizational and structural changes within an organization.

Representatives from the Working Group will discuss and share:

  • Eight key characteristics that make up the foundational E&C precepts
  • The impact of Internal and external factors on organizational stress
  • A Stress Readiness, Responsiveness & Resiliency Awareness + Action Toolkit
