Katariina Korhonen SVP Operations & Strategy @ AivenG
Katariina Korhonen is SVP Operations and Strategy at Aiven, a Series D growth company creating the trusted open source data platform for everyone. Aiven has raised more than $400M VC funding and is operating on four continents with headquarters in Helsinki and hubs in Amsterdam, Berlin, Boston, Paris, Singapore, Sydney, Tokyo and Toronto. Katariina is part of Aiven’s senior executive team and is leading the company’s operations and finance while also focusing on creating and rolling out company level strategy. Prior to joining Aiven, Katariina was Chief People Officer and General Counsel for Smartly.io and was part of the senior executive team and responsible for leading the global People Team and Legal Team. She holds a degree of Master in Laws (LL.M) from the Helsinki University. When not working, Katariina enjoys an active family life with three boys.

James Black joined IVP in August 2019. He focuses on identifying and evaluating enterprise and consumer technology investments with great product-market-fit. James worked on IVP’s investment in Aiven, Hello Heart, Pigment, Productiv, Sorare, Superhuman, and TaxBit. Before joining IVP, James worked at Canva, a Sydney-based graphic design company empowering the world to design anything and publish anywhere. James worked on the strategic finance team and led projects across fundraising, business development, product strategy, and analytics. He was also an investment banker at Qatalyst Partners, advising on over $50Bn worth of announced M&A transactions. James graduated Magna Cum Laude from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where he earned a B.S. in Economics with concentrations in finance and operations.
