    Dale Yarborough ApprenticeshipNC, Field Supervisor @ NC Community College System

    Dale is a native of North Carolina and a U.S. Air Force veteran, with 22 years of active-duty service. He has also been a North Carolina state employee for the past 22 years and currently is working under the NC Community College System Office ApprenticeshipNC. As the Eastern Field Supervisor, he is responsible for program promotion, development, outreach and training of the apprenticeship staff. He is responsible for educating private and public-sector agencies on the benefits of registered apprenticeships. A graduate of Troy State University and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Resource Management.

    Anthony Cordova Dean Of Instruction @ Bakersfield College

    Anthony Cordova was born in Bakersfield, California. Attended Shafter High School and joined the military after graduation. Anthony served in the Navy as a Boiler Technician for 4 years, completed 3 tours during the Gulf War, and decommissioned 2 Naval Vessels. Honorably discharged from the Navy, Anthony found employment in the private sector with Solar Turbines, a wholly owned subsidiary of Caterpillar. For 13 yrs Anthony held many titles within the company which allowed him to commission 3 power plants. He held the position as the plant manager of a 34 MW Combined Heat Power Plant for five years while earning his MBA. Since becoming the Dean of Instruction at Bakersfield College he also is currently on the Board of Directors for KCHCC, the President Elect of the CCA for Occupational Education and Chair for the CCC bachelor’s degree Programs. Anthony continues to serve the community of Kern County in supporting the programs and services that provide learners an opportunity to succeed.

    Amy Loyd, Ed. L.D. Assistant Secretary @ Office of Career, Technical, and Adult Education at the U.S. Department of Education

    Amy Loyd, Ed.L.D., is the Assistant Secretary for the Office of Career, Technical, and Adult Education at the U.S. Department of Education. In this role, she oversees national programs related to career and technical education, community colleges, adult education and literacy, and correctional education. Prior to joining the Biden-Harris Administration, Dr. Loyd was a Vice President at Jobs for the Future (JFF), where she designed and led programs across the United States that improve education and workforce outcomes. Her work at JFF focused on state and regional policies, practices, and cross-sector partnerships that engaged K-12 education, community colleges, adult education, workforce development, economic development, and employers to build systems of college and career pathways, leveraging career and technical education. She also oversaw JFF’s work in workforce development with a lens on economic advancement, state and federal policy, and diversity, equity, and inclusion.
