ZRT Laboratory invites you to their event

Why We Switched from Immunoassays to LC-MS/MS for Measuring Salivary and Blood (DBS) Hormones by Dr. David Zava

About this event

Join Dr. David Zava to learn about ZRT's rationale for switching from conventional Immunoassays to Liquid Chromatography Mass Spectrometry for testing steroid hormones (estrogens, progestogens, androgens, and cortisol) in saliva and dried finger-prick capillary blood (aka- DBS- Dried Blood Spots).

Dr. Zava will review the following in the webinar:

✅ Explain the technical difference in Immunoassays and LC-MS/MS.

✅ Describe why most Immunoassays are not as accurate for measuring steroids as LC-MS/MS, particularly when steroids such as estradiol and testosterone are low, as in postmenopausal women.

✅ Explain why some high-dose exogenous hormone therapies (i.e. estriol, oral progesterone) can result in a false-high signal for estradiol and progesterone, respectively, when testing by Immunoassay, but not LC-MS/MS/

💡 Live Q&A: Have questions? Dr. Zava will answer them in a dedicated Q&A session at the end of the webinar!
