During this webinar Nick Boughen, Director of Education at CG Masters, will discuss why it’s important to know Katana, its value in production and how your students will benefit from learning it. Nick will also provide advice on teaching Katana and insight on how to overcome the technical challenges of an educational setting.

Katana Creative Specialists Arielle Martin and Brian Fukushima will also be joining Nick to talk about Foundry’s educational resources and for the live Q&A.

    Arielle previously worked with Katana as a Pipeline Artist on animated films before starting at Foundry as a Creative Specialist, covering training and demos for Katana and Flix. She is now an Product Manager for Katana Lighting.

    Nick Boughen Co-Founder | Director of Education @ CG Masters School of 3D Animation & VFX

    Nicholas Boughen is a 25 year veteran of VFX in Vancouver. An Emmy and Gemini nominated artist and VFX Supervisor, he has worked on 28 films, 4 TV series and many commercials. He has been teaching vfx since 2001. CG Masters uses most of the Foundry tools extensively in its production pipeline.
