In this webinar, we will be setting up your first Diamonds models in steel, while you can experience the user-friendly interface.
We talk how the BuildSoft software solutions can get you more productive in your daily structural analysis tasks.
We create a 2D steel frame and extend this to a full 3D industrial hall. We go over the geometry input parameters, such as cross-section, material, supports, wind braces and loads. After a first elastic analysis, we look at the internal forces and stresses. You can easily enter buckling lengths or have them automatically calculated by Diamonds. You will learn how to add lateral torsional buckling restraints. Finally we will do a steel verification for strength and stability.
To end we calculate some moment connections and complex 3D connections.
