Prof Pia Österlund is adjunct professor at Karolinska Institute & senior consultant at the Comprehensive Cancer Centre. She is also the deputy head of Oncology at Tampere university hospital & head of the GI-cancer & tumour boards. She has been the PI in >30 clinical trials.

Prof Florian Lordick is director of the UCCL. His scientific focus is on clinical and translational research in GI cancers. He is ESMO director of education and president of the IGCA, as well as associated editor of Gastric Cancer and ESMO Open, and editorial board member of Annals of Oncology.
