Hempel Post COP27 Reflections: Together for Implementation

The UN global climate summit, COP27, held in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, brought together more than 35,000 people from across the world to address urgent matters around climate change, under the slogan “Together for implementation”. This call to action made it clear that one of the top priorities at the 2022 Climate Summit was the need to act and move from promises to concrete actions, a need that applies to governments, businesses and multiple other stakeholders.

With sustainability high on the agenda at Hempel, Executive Vice President and Head of Marine, Alexander Enström, and Vice President of Sustainability, Martin Wiese, participated at COP27 to accelerate the journey towards decarbonization in the industries that Hempel serve, as well as share insights from Hempel’s own sustainability journey.
