    Nikos Nomikos Professor of Shipping Finance and Risk Management @ The Business School (formerly CASS), City University

    Nikos began his career at the Baltic where he was responsible for developing shipping indices that are currently used in the market as pricing benchmarks today. His expertise is on the application of quantitative-based methods in shipping, in topics such as development of ship valuation models, designing shipping indices and market benchmarks, valuation of freight derivative contracts and big-data analytics for assessing market dynamics. He has published more than 50 papers in leading international academic journals and he is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers.

    Brian Nixon Commercial Director @ Greenheart Management

    Before joining Greenheart Management, Brian was MD of Lavinia Bulk between 2013-20 and managed the Laskaridis dry bulk fleet. Between 2006-13 Brian was Executive Dir. at Morgan Stanley Commodities responsible for physical vessels, freight derivative trading and risk management of freight trading. Prior he was a dry Freight Trader in the physical shipping markets and FFA trading for Cargill.
