Solar Media invites you to their event

Assessing the benefits of TOPCon PV modules for utility-scale solar LCOE

About this event

The global PV market is entering a new era at an unprecedented speed, with the energy transition pushing demand for more efficient solar PV to new levels. The latest forecasts suggest that n-type will become the solar industry’s dominant technology by 2025, with investments in n-type manufacturing accelerating in tandem.

JinkoSolar is one of the industry’s leading manufacturers producing n-type TOPCon solar cells, with 16GW of capacity. Last year, JinkoSolar released its n-type HOT 2 – TOPCon Tiger Neo range of modules, boasting outputs of 620Wp and advantages such as high efficiency, high bifacial factor, lower degradation and low temperature coefficient.

For this webinar, ‘Solar Module Super League’ member JinkoSolar is collaborating with experts at TÜV NORD to produce a technically-driven PV Tech TechTalk webinar, helping you to fully understand how n-type modules can benefit utility-scale solar LCOE.

Roberto Murgioni, Head of Technical Service & Product Management at JinkoSolar Europe, will focus on the premium technical features of the new Tiger NEO series, while addressing where the Tiger NEO series is placed within JinkoSolar’s comprehensive utility-scale product portfolio to support project developers, EPCs, stakeholders practical component selection decisions.

Shawee Wei, Operation Director of BOS & ESS, TÜV NORD will provide a detailed overview of the recent TÜV NORD study on LCOE by comparing two separate utility-scale PV projects, in China and Spain. The projects used JinkoSolar n-type modules and compared their performance against other mainstream high-efficiency modules available on the market today.

Webinar Learning Points:

  • Gain a comprehensive introduction to JinkoSolar’s n-type Tiger NEO module series, delivering outputs of up to 620Wp, including the range’s premium technical features;
  • Learn about the TÜV NORD study on LCOE which compares two separate utility-scale PV projects, in China and Spain, and highlights the specific gains achieved by using n-type modules, and;
  • Understand the impact of ultra-high efficiency modules on the LCOE of utility scale projects, including calculation of the yield benefit for different environmental conditions and installation types carried out by TÜV NORD.
