Trust in Numbers: the Rise of the Blockchain Cooperative

About this event

Learn How Blockchain Will Empower People by Democratizing Economies and Systems of Governance

Like the Internet before it, blockchain offers a powerful method for sharing information and conducting transactions. And much like the Internet, blockchain is often misunderstood. Ultimately, one of the most important ideas the technology concerns its potential use as a tool for benevolent disruption on the grand scale.

Their ability to foster trust between users and protect our identities, all while developing peer-to-peer connections resistant to hacking, stands to upend many outdated structures. The most obvious? The exclusionary financial establishment and restrictively slow economic government bureaucracies.

Yet blockchain is poised to revolutionize services beyond those institutional giants, ranging from personal banking and real estate to philanthropy and insurance and more. The most famous blockchain example—Bitcoin—has already provided one egalitarian means for transforming the very basis of capitalistic society.

How will blockchain continue to alter our lives as we build new forms of equity working together? How will the planet transform when we are rewarded for openly and collaboratively sharing our intelligence instead of competing for resources?

Join Alessandro Voto as he explains the basics of this exponential technology, as well as its current and future applications.

In this webcast, you will:

  • Understand the foundational principles of the blockchain

  • Conceptualize new methods for secure and cooperative collaboration

  • Understand the concepts of open-access finance, self-sovereign identity, the redistribution of the web, blockchain nations and global governance, and the economy of things

  • Discover the potential for a personalized monetary system

  • Envision distributed cooperative organizations as a means of advancing beyond the legacy corporate models of the past
